Our Story
Built by People Who Understand Recovery
Lions Gate Recovery was not created by outside investors or a corporate healthcare group. The program was rebuilt by individuals who have lived through addiction themselves and understand what sustainable recovery actually requires.
In 2017, the current ownership group purchased Lions Gate Recovery from a local family that had been struggling to maintain the program. While the foundation of the organization already existed, the structure and direction needed to change in order to produce stronger long-term outcomes.
From the beginning, the goal was clear: build a treatment program grounded in accountability, clinical integrity, and real-world recovery.
A Different Perspective on Treatment
Before taking ownership of Lions Gate Recovery, the owners had worked within the treatment industry and seen a wide range of program models. Some focused heavily on comfort and amenities. Others lacked consistency in expectations or long-term structure.
Through those experiences, it became clear that many programs were designed to stabilize clients temporarily rather than prepare them for lasting change.
Lions Gate Recovery was rebuilt around a different philosophy.
Recovery requires structure.
Recovery requires responsibility.
Recovery requires consistent engagement in therapy and personal growth.
Short-term comfort is not the goal. Long-term stability is.
Leadership Rooted in Personal Experience
One of the defining aspects of Lions Gate Recovery is that the owners themselves are in long-term recovery. Collectively, they bring more than 70 years of sobriety.
This experience shapes how the program operates. Addiction is not approached as an abstract concept or a clinical theory. It is understood through lived experience.
That perspective informs everything from program structure to expectations within treatment. It also reinforces the belief that recovery is possible when individuals are willing to engage fully in the process.
The philosophy behind Lions Gate Recovery is simple:
People in recovery helping people find recovery.
A Program Built on Accountability
Since taking ownership, the leadership team has focused on building a program that emphasizes accountability and behavioral change.
Treatment at Lions Gate Recovery is structured and intentional. Clients are expected to participate actively in therapy, follow daily routines, and take responsibility for their decisions. Progress is measured through behavior, consistency, and engagement.
This approach is not always the easiest path, but it is designed to support long-term recovery rather than temporary improvement.
Adapting While Maintaining Integrity
The addiction treatment landscape in Utah has changed significantly over the past several years. Insurance policies have evolved, regulations have shifted, and competition among treatment providers has increased.
Despite these changes, the core principles behind Lions Gate Recovery have remained consistent.
Rather than lowering expectations or modifying the program simply to attract more admissions, the focus has remained on maintaining the clinical structure that produces results.
Recovery requires discipline. That belief continues to guide how the program operates today.
Measured by Long-Term Outcomes
The true measure of any treatment program is what happens after clients leave.
Over the years, Lions Gate Recovery has worked with hundreds of individuals whose lives had been severely impacted by addiction. Many arrived facing legal consequences, damaged relationships, unstable employment, or serious health concerns.
For those who complete treatment and continue engaging in recovery, the outcomes can be significant. Clients rebuild relationships, return to work, pursue education, and restore stability in areas of life that once felt impossible to repair.
These outcomes reinforce the purpose behind the program.
Continuing the Mission
Lions Gate Recovery continues to operate with the same mission that guided its rebuilding in 2017:
People in recovery helping people find recovery.
Every level of care, from detox to outpatient treatment, is designed to support that mission through structure, accountability, and clinical integrity.
Recovery is not a single moment. It is a process built through consistent effort, support, and discipline.
Recovery Starts With a Decision
You do not have to wait for things to get worse.
